Fast forward 300 years into the future, most of everyone from the original series is dead; yet, I don't see the narrative changing at all. The future will be riddled with technology and people will find ways to forget about the world. One escape will be the Kengan matches (one on one bouts to the death that originated in the underground arenas of ancient japan and is the main focus of the story). While everyone lives in a world with flying cars and interplanetary travel, there will be those who seeks the thrill in a brutish fist fight.
